Experience classic Hollywood glamour with Barbie's Big Moment in Black! Margot Robbie stuns fans with her daring rendition of the iconic 1960 doll's gown - complete with smouldering sophistication and a splash of modern style.
Margot Robbie dazzled the star-studded world premiere held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in downtown LA on Sunday, wearing her latest outfit: Not-so-basic black! The two-time Oscar nominee worked with Andrew Mukamal to recreate the Barbie 'Solo in the Spotlight' dress from 1960, featuring a strapless trumpet style, peep-toe kitten heels, opera gloves, and a diamond choker. The frilly frock also boasted a metallic shimmer, stiff tulle hemline, and a red rose embellishment - proving pink isn't the only thing she can rock!
Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett tamed Margot's voluminous faux-ny tail for the pink carpet shindig. Make-up artist Pati Dubroff abandoned the blue eyeshadow on the doll and rather emphasized Robbie's brows, dabbed pink blush to her cheekbones, and presented a bold red pout.
The Asteroid City actress reportedly banked an impressive $12.5M to play and produce in Greta Gerwig's fantasy flick based on the iconic Mattel doll, which had a $100M budget. The 39-year-old co-wrote the movie with babydaddy Noah Baumbach, and had Oscar winner Helen Mirren as the narrator. John Cena, Rhea Perlman, and Emerald Fennell all star in Barbie, hitting US/UK theaters July 21. Dua Lipa, whose song Dance The Night is part of the soundtrack, showed off her toned 5ft8in figure and white thong in a mesh number picked out by stylist Lorenzo Posocco.
Dressed in a pink Gucci suit (with nary a shirt underneath!) and bright white Oxfords, Ryan Gosling was the perfect Ken to Margot Robbie's Barbie—even though the Barbie of flesh and blood brought along her real-life Ken (her hubby Tom Ackerley!) to the pink Corvette (just like hers!). Two-time Oscar noms for just one role? Yup, Ryan's Ken is something special.
